If the parents of the deaf youngster who insists on driving along Priory Drive and Priory Way with his car windows down and the stereo / boom box combination set to maximum, are reading this, please ask him to consider others :mad:

I've gotta confess, I used to drive around in my car with the music at full blast. I was convinced that the people looking at me were either impressed at such a loud sound system and/or jealous. 15 years later and I realised that they were actually thinking, "idiot".:(

Funny really, cos even as a youngster, if I heard somebody else driving past with their music blasting, I'd never think they were cool or be jealous, I'd always think "what a loser". Any yet I was still convinced that's not what people thought when I drove past.

Now, I just makes me chuckle whenever a see a 'mobile disco', it reminds of when I once that naive and desperate to be noticed. But it's highly disrespectful and down right rude to be blasting music in a built up area. There's a time and place for it and on hosuing estates are not it.

I've still got the 12" boom box and amp in my car but rarely turn it up to the sort of volumes I used and only whilst driving on motorways etc.
