The dog club are having a few weeks off from training due to the refurbishment of the Hall. Last wednesday should have seen us having our Village Walk but this had to be cancelled due to the disatrous weather although as luck would have it, it dried up by 7.45 and turned out to be a beautiful evening. In our denfense it would have been very wet under foot and we had to make the decision by 6.30 when it was still teeming down.
This Wednesday August 5th sees our Teddy Bears Picnic and Fun walk at The Island Picnic area in Usk, meet at 7pm for 7.30 start. £1 entry bring a cuddly toy and a picnic. Fines will be given (£1) for those who do not bring a Teddy (or cuddly) Raffle available. All proceeds to The Presidents fund (the two supported societies each getting 40% of profits raised are The Village Hall, Langstone & All Creatures Great and Small - 20% is kept by Langstone & DCS for club Funds) All are welcome, whether members or not and whether you have a pedigree or cross breed dog or you just want to come out for the evening and enjoy the walk and picnic. (Non-Walkers also welcome)
These events were previously announced on this forum so please forgive me if you have seen them before but I could not find them, & it is in a good cause):gossip:
There will be some training on Wednesday 12th following a short meeting, and depending on who turns up as we realise there is a clash with St. mellons and we woud not normally meet on this day.
Training 'proper' restarts on Wednesday 19th August. Thanks all.
