All the forums in the News (http://www.langstonevillage.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=85) section are read only as the threads are auto populated form various web feeds. Threads from the News forums don't appear in the Stats section at the bottom of the screen (there would just be too many).
If you want to comment on one of the posts in the News section then you can create a new thread elsewhere and paste a link (i.e. http://www.langstonevillage.co.uk/showthread.php?t=47932 (http://www.langstonevillage.co.uk/showthread.php?t=47932)) to the news item.
