The LVH Trustees have recently undertaken a complete refurbishment of the kitchen at the village hall. We now provide a full size cooker, large larder fridge, full set of saucepans, kitchen equipment and utensils. A recent article published in Community First pointed out that these facilities were lacking. This was unfortunate as the article I submitted outlining the improvments was not published. If you would like to book the hall for your party please contact the booking clerk Sandra Hancock on 01633 411023 or mobile 07846 275050.
A disabled toilet has also been installed and further renovations will be undertaken over the next 6 months. These include:
New dance floor
New stage curtains
Complete redecoration
carpeting to lobby
Tree felling and landscaping to reat courtyard
New guttering and fascias to front elevation
New porch roof
Compete electrical rewire with new heating.
We have obtained a grant for most of this work but are unable to promote it until the financial agreement has been signed. Watch this space for news of when the restoration will take place!!
The old wooden hut will also be demolished and a swanky new building erected in it's place. This has been made partly possible by a fantastic donation made by the Wellspring Christian Foundation who are regular users of the hall. Wellspring have also offered to redecorate and provide new blinds for the hall. The trustees are extremely grateful for all their help with the project.
