Langstone School was closed again today and it was not until the last minute that the message was put out. I checked it out on Saturday and discovered that no attempt had been made to clear the paths or steps.This was also the case this morning.
Mr Gray is apparently clearing today but would appreciate the help if anyone can spare an hour.
I understand why the decision was made but this does not wash with employers who expect their staff to be in work. I had to take my son to work with me last Friday which is against our HR policy. Given that the roads are clear I find it hard to justify why so many schools are still closed in Newport.
I am now in annual leave deficit so will lose pay because of this.
