How about promoting this website in the Community First magazine?

Tis done, will be appearing in August's edition. I missed the current edition deadline by 3 days.

We're currently exploring several different promotion avenues, including:

Flyer mail shots done in batches of 100 to local houses.
Flyer pickup points at key sites including Hurrans, The Coldra, Hillcroft garage and the New Inn.
Advert in Newport Matters.
Reciprocal links with local web sites.
Appreciate any other suggestions (low cost) people may have.

Admin,

I picked this site up from your last mail shot, and I believe this site could be a really true community vocal point, would be happy to assist in delivering any other mail shots if required.

By the way, I think you have done an amazing job in getting this site up and running as you have done. Well done and thank you.

Regards
WJ

Jay,

Thank you very much for your kind and encouraging words.

Work has ketp me pretty busy lately so I haven't been able to push the site as much as I hoped. We've only done two mailshots, one to Ger-y-Parc and the other to Blossom Close, 200 in total.

I have almost completed a revamped flyer and I'd very much appreiciate any help you can offer. If you send me a private message stating what area you could cover (and how many) then we can arrange a drop off. Thanks for any help you can offer, much appreciated.

The site will appear in the next issue of Community 1st (due soon) so wer'e hoping this will boost numbers. We also planning more mailshot deliveries as well as flyer key pick up points such as Hurrans, The Coldra & Hillcroft garage, any suggestions welcome.

I also agree that this site could be become something a whole lot bigger and we're hoping this will start to happen over the next few months.

The month of July saw almost 100 unique visitors to the site. That?s not bad going considering we've only distributed 200 leaflets

Alan Perry, the editor of Community First has offered his generous support by kindly placing and advert in the latest edition of his magazine at no cost. Hopefully this will boost membership throughout August.

It?s been a slow start but things are beginning to pick up. Time permitting, I intend to some more mailshots this weekend which such result in a further boost to our membership.
